About
Grant Lanning

Grant Lanning was born in Midland, Michigan where he participated in sports from Football to Baseball. During college at Western Michigan University Grant found an interest in competitive weight lifting and powerlifting, still competing today. It was also at WMU where Grant began his personal training career in 1996. Graduating with a degree in Physical Education and a minor in Health Education, Grant moved to Lexington to advance this personal training career. With over 13 years of experience, Grant still loves the gratification of knowing he is helping improve people’s lives, and he founded Fast Track Fitness with this very end in mind.
Mark Burress

Mark began training in Posh Sportsclub/LA in Los Angeles, California. Before long, he found himself at a new gym in Beverly Hills locating in the same office building that housed New Line Cinema’s corporate offices. Mark had the opportunity to train many celebrities, even traveling on location, in one case, to Vancouver. But with family in Indiana, Kentucky and South Carolina, Mark moved back to Kentucky in 2000. His emphasis is on a holistic approach to personal training—working with clients on overall wellness and not just individual exercises. Mark has been certified by all major certification organizations including NSCA and ACSM. He is also certified through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and holds an educational certificate in personal fitness instruction from UCLA.
Phyllis Bertram

Phyllis received her M.S. in Exercise Physiology from the University of KY in 1997. In 2003 she became certified from the American College of Sports Medicine as a Health Fitness Instructor and in 2005 she became Power Pilates Certified. From 1989-1993 Phyllis was a collegiate swimmer for Transylvania university and in 2000 she qualified for and completed the Boston Marathon. She is currently an active triathlete.
Bradley Sowder

In addition to training at Fast Track Fitness, Bradley Sowder is also Lexington Christian Academy’s head coach of cross country and track. In three short years as head coach, LCA has placed in the top ten in their region every year, plus they’ve landed a regional championship and the school’s first individual state title in two events. Bradley’s love of track and cross country go all the way back to high school. After graduation he attended Cumberland College and the University of Kentucky, graduating with a degree in Kinesiology and Health Promotion, during which time he also ran competitively… with sponsorships. He doesn’t just train or coach—he practices what he preaches, still running 60 to 70 miles every week and spending 30 minutes or more every day just on his core. Couple Bradley’s passions for health and fitness with his education and USATF Level 1 certification and you’ve got a trainer more than qualified to help you exceed your fitness goals.
